Her Inspired Soul

 

I'm a self-taught artist who 22 years ago bought some canvas and paints and let my emotions flow through my art. After a few years of experimenting with brushes, I started to use palette knives and fell in love. The technique allowed me to express myself and the visions & colours I wanted to create.

Growing up in Chesley ON, my greatest source of inspiration comes from the shores of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. I'm inspired by nature’s beauty and the energy and auras of the people that surround me near and far.    As the sun sets and rises on the day, the magnificent colours soothe my mind and transfer to my paintings.  Music influences my senses and visions as I feel the rhythms and emotions.

I realized a long time ago that it doesn't matter what vision I have, my paintings are a result of the way I am feeling at that time.  However, in the end it's all in the eye of the beholder. You could stand back and have a completely different experience with my paintings then what I have wanted to create and that’s the beauty of art!
